It began as a vision conceived by Paul Eberhard Schall \u2013 the trade fair organiser with passion and a keen sense for emerging markets. Together with entrepreneur Eugen Hehl from family-owned ARBURG GmbH + Co KG, he established an event in the tri-border region at Lake Constance that would make economic history: Fakuma, a specialised trade fair for plastics processing.<\/p>\n

Launched in 1981 with 76 exhibitors, it evolved into a major international trade fair at a breathtaking pace. What was so special about it? Specialised suppliers measure themselves against each other! At the same time they embrace a culture of exchange, competition and cooperation. This provides users with a comprehensive overview of the market. Driven by innovation and marketing strength, it radiates from Europe to the rest of the world.<\/p>\n
